Everyone went through the "six second medical exam". This is when the officials and doctors briefly checked for any medical conditions that need to be further examined. This included checking their eyes, and also watching how people walked, acted, and looked. If anything was abnormal or suspicious, they were marked with a chalk symbol on their clothes and pulled aside for a more evaluative medical exam. If everything seemed fine, they were allowed to proceed to the Grand Hall for registration.
